Is it 2007 all over?

by admin

Everyone is ragging and complaining about the Florida offense after another sporadic performance in the loss to Ole Miss on Saturday. But to me, the biggest concern right now isn’t the offense, it’s the defense. Let’s face it, the defense, especially in the secondary, was not seriously tested in the first three games. Going conservative makes sense

The more I think about Urban Meyer’s no-risk approach on offense, the more brilliant it seems. With this being the bye week, it seems like a good time reflect on what’s happened so far and what might lie ahead for the Gators. The offense: The Gators finally started clicking in the fourth quarter against Miami, but overall the offense has been out of sync. In the opener, UF really didn’t try to do too much, which was obvious because Tim Tebow didn’t do too much other than hand off to those freshmen tailbacks. … Read More »

Time to open it up

The Florida offense we saw last Saturday in the big win over Hawaii is not the offense we will see Saturday night against Miami. I know, I know, I’m not taking much of a gamble by saying that. To anyone who saw the game, it had to be obvious the Gators were holding a lot of stuff back in the opener ” mainly Tim Tebow. He threw only 14 passes, carried the ball only nine … Read More »
