Here’s one of my early predictions for 2009: Tim Tebow is going to become a better quarterback, a more complete quarterback, a more NFL-ready quarterback under new quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler.

Usually following a big visit weekend in Gainesville,
lots of things start popping for the Gators. Not this time. After
entertaining nine prospects in the biggest recruiting weekend of the
year, there has been little news – and no commitments for Florida.
In
a way, this was expected because the Gators already have 16 commitments
and now are targeting some of the nation’s elite prospects, most of

With Thursday’s big game now only a few days away, there is still no fan presence ” yet. Maybe it’s because south Florida is so expansive, so populated. Whatever it is, the fans have been no factor.

Their special teams and defense have been getting criticized in the buildup to Thursday’s national championship game, and the Sooners apparently are sick and tired of hearing it. That’s the impression the OU players projected at Media Day at Dolphin Stadium on Monday.

On the first day of player interviews Saturday for the BCS Championship Game, Florida cornerback Joe Haden was asked more questions about his haircut than how to defend Oklahoma’s explosive offense.
Haden showed up in South Florida on Friday sporting a Mohawk haircut. On the right side of his head is carved his number (5) next to a star. On the other side, he has BCS with a number 1 next to it.
