linemen Earl Okine and Omar Hunter arrived on campus a year ago with
big-time credentials and expectations that were off the charts.
Okine,
an early enrollee, was expected to push for immediate playing time at
end. Hunter, whom Urban Meyer called the Tim Tebow of the 2008
recruiting class, arrived in May with the idea that the early start

The word going around at UF’s annual
Pro Day on Wednesday was that troubled defensive tackle Torrey Davis
could have a chance to be back in August.
Although Davis
officially left the football program last Friday, he remains in classes
at UF. A lot apparently has to happen between now and the start of
two-a-days, but the door is still ajar for Davis to possibly return.

teams as a true freshman last season, looks like he’s added
considerable muscle and weight since the fall.

Florida defensive tackle Torrey Davis is in limbo. Based on what we’re hearing, he’s not officially off the team at this point, and he’s not officially on it, either. If he were one or the other, we’d be hearing it from the folks over at UF. But at this point, there’s nothing official on his status.
